Buying Guide
- Group size and flexibility: Choose kits that cover your expected guest count and allow for extra players or last-minute changes without breaking the flow.
- Themed variety: Consider themes that suit your audience—glamourous 1920s, disco 1970s, or elegant crime “dinner” concepts—to maximise engagement.
- Replayability: If you host regularly, opt for kits offering multiple endings and repeatable play to maximise value.
- Host participation: Some kits are designed for the host to join the game; this can enhance atmosphere, but ensure it’s comfortable for the host to participate without spoiling the mystery.
- Durability and setup: Look for clear instructions, sturdy props, and easily accessible clues. A well-organised kit reduces prep time and keeps the evening flowing smoothly.
- Age appropriateness: Check recommended ages and any content considerations for younger guests or mixed-age groups.
- Delivery and reuse: If you plan multiple events, consider kits with easy-to-store components and long-lasting materials that withstand repeated use.
- Accessibility: For virtual or hybrid events, verify that the kit supports online play with clear digital or printable resources.
