The kit includes a chord poster and a padded gig bag, along with a tuner, strap, capo, strings, and picks, offering a complete setup straight out of the box. This makes it a practical choice for first-time players or as a gift for someone starting their musical journey. The included chord poster helps learners memorize common chords and accelerate early playing sessions.
Fender CD-60 Dreadnought
The Fender CD-60 Dreadnought combines a mahogany body with a walnut fingerboard to produce a balanced, warm tone suitable for beginners and intermediate players. Its die-cast tuners and comfortable neck profile (C-shaped) enhance playability, while the robust construction supports long-term practice. The black finish with a walnut fingerboard contributes a classic aesthetic, making it a reliable, all-around choice for learners aiming to progress without upgrading early on.
BOSS VE-500 Vocal Performer
While primarily a vocal effects pedal, the VE-500 integrates seamlessly with a guitarist’s pedalboard to expand live performance capabilities. It offers automatic vocal harmony, pitch correction, and a high-powered DSP engine supporting multiple simultaneous effects. For players who sing while playing, this unit provides studio-grade vocal processing in a compact stompbox, enabling polished harmonies and enhanced stage presence without requiring separate gear racks or software.
Natural 38 Inch Acoustic Starter
This 38-inch (approximately 95 cm) acoustic guitar presents a basswood body with a matte varnish finish and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, delivering a balanced tone suitable for beginners and hobby players. Chrome tuners help maintain tuning stability, while the larger body size can enhance projection and volume. It represents a practical aesthetic choice with reliable build quality—a common entry point for those starting classical and contemporary styles alike.
3rd Avenue Cutaway Beginner Pack
The 3rd Avenue full-size cutaway acoustic guitar bundle targets beginners with a neatly designed starter kit, including a bag, strap, steel strings, and picks. The light gauge steel strings are chosen to ease initial playing, helping learners form chord shapes and strumming patterns more comfortably. This package supports getting started quickly and staying motivated as skills grow, with a focus on practical, everyday playability.
Red Cutaway Starter Pack
This red-cutaway model mirrors the natural variant in design, offering similar body construction and a cutaway for easier access to upper frets. The highlighted features emphasize usability for newcomers and intermediate players seeking a reliable instrument with a distinct visual style. The basswood body, rosewood elements, and chromed tuners contribute to stable tuning and a satisfactory tonal range for various styles.
3rd Avenue Steel String Bundle Natural
This bundle provides a traditional steel-string acoustic experience with a classic dreadnought design. The guitar features a gloss finish, poplar top, and dyed maple fretboard with internal X bracing for strength and brightness. Included are a carry bag, strap, spare strings, and picks, delivering an effective starter solution for players who prefer steel-string guitars and aspire to progress toward more advanced progressions.
Buying Guide
- Purpose and playing level: Choose a model with a comfortable neck profile and right-sized body for your current skill level and the genres you enjoy.
- Build quality and materials: Look for sturdy woods (basswood, mahogany), quality tuners, and bracing, as these influence tone, intonation, and durability.
- Playability features: Cutaways aid access to higher frets; neck shape (C-shape) can reduce hand fatigue for beginners.
- Accessories and value: Starter bundles with tuners, straps, picks, and posters can save time and money by providing essential items in one package.
- Electric compatibility: If you plan to amplify, consider models with good natural resonance and comfortable action for plugging into an amp or PA.
- Budget and longevity: Aimed under £500, assess whether you want a pure acoustic or a bundled option that supports ongoing learning and progression.
- UK availability: Check shipping times, warranty terms, and return policies for peace of mind when buying online.
- Maintenance and setup: Expect minor adjustments such as truss-rod tightening, saddle height tweaks, and occasional string changes to keep sound optimal.
